From 2D Technical Sketches to High-Fidelity Digital Assets
Quick Info:
Industry: Optics & Laser Technology
Scope: 3D Modeling & Material Simulation
Input: 2D Technical Sketches / Illustrations
Output: High-Fidelity Visual Assets
CHALLENGE
The client possessed only 2D technical illustrations of their specialized fiber optic systems. These flat drawings were insufficient for high-level marketing and failed to demonstrate the complex 3D refractive qualities and material layers that define CeramOptec’s superior technology.
APPROACH
We performed a full 3D Reconstruction based on 2D engineering sketches. This required interpreting technical cross-sections to build an accurate 3D model from the ground up. Once the geometry was engineered, we applied advanced material simulations to replicate exact Indices of Refraction (IOR) for the glass fiber cores and cladding.
Precision Modeling & Refractive Clarity
By reconstructing the model from scratch, we ensured total control over the internal structure of the fiber bundles. We prioritized the visualization of light transmission, ensuring the “glow” and refractive behavior match the physical properties of CeramOptec’s high-purity glass.
Final Visual Assets
Optimized for:
Technical Sales Presentations
Website Product Pages
International Engineering Trade Shows
Result
3DEnginuity successfully transitioned the client from static 2D drawings to a suite of versatile 3D assets. These high-fidelity visuals now allow CeramOptec to explain their “Invisible Value” with a level of clarity and professional impact that was previously impossible with flat illustrations.
